The Mecenate/Forlanini district, in Milan’s Municipio 4, is the neighborhood I’ve grown into. These photographs were taken there, though they also belong to individual projects in progress, not all of them tied to this specific place. For now, when shown together, they form a kind of idiosyncratic map of my immediate surroundings: the streets I walk, the buildings I pass, the places I go, the people I cross paths with every day. All of it, I’m starting to suspect, may end up mattering more than any project taking shape in my mind.
